Grading Definitions

Easy
Suitable for most people in good health. Good paths with minimal uphill sections, which can be done on foot.

Moderate
A reasonable level of fitness is required as these tours may demand sustained periods of endurance along steep trails and uneven paths. Bike Route may include a series of hills, meaning recurring ascents and descents, but nothing too strenuous. A support vehicle will be always available, so weary travelers will be able to hitch a ride.

Challenging
These trips are physically demanding and best suited for bikers with high levels of fitness and endurance. Bicycling experience is necessary; days can be long, often along difficult trails, in remote regions. Trips are usually accompanied by nearby support vehicles, but at times without one. Travelers may be required to carry a backpack.
